Questions
- Often times while growing up, there comes a point where we “discover” that our father was far more intelligent/wiser than we had previously given him credit. Reflecting on this, it seems this “revelation” is not uncommon. Have you experienced similar moments in your life? If so, what do you remember about your realization and about how it changed the relationship between your father and yourself?
- What things did your father say that have stayed with you throughout your life? Was there a lesson, a story, or a moment that helped make you who you are?
- Is there a special memory of your father that makes you smile when you least expect it? If so, what is it about the memory that allows you to hold it dearly in your heart as perhaps one of your most prized treasures?
