Brothers:
We’re will gather, again, this coming [day/date] at [location] from [start time to end time] in the [location]. I’m lookin’ forward to it … please invite a buddy to come with you!!
We are about to complete the first week of “Ordinary Time” (i.e.; “ordered” time) in the Church’s calendar. It would seem like a good time to consider, then, what would we ask for in this new year — spiritually speaking — and what can we do to help that happen?
Scriptures
Please take a few minutes of quiet time and reflect on the following Scriptures in anticipation of this discussion … Specifically:
Psalm 116 – The psalmist asks what “return” can we make to the Lord?
Psalm 128 – Here, we are reminded of the “joys” of family.
John 1: 35-42 – The 1st Disciples illustrate the “call” on our lives.
Colossians 3: 12-21 – Ways to build relationships by overcoming obstacles.
Separately, we’d ask you to consider ideas you might have relative to future topics, speakers and/or thoughts relative to meeting format. Let’s take a few minutes, at the end of the meeting, and see what ideas might surface.
See you [day/date] … God bless you and your families!
