Brothers,
The Catholic Men’s Fellowship group at the [location] will gather again this coming [day/date], from [start time to end time] in [location]. Please join us and bring a friend!
On this meeting in February, shortly after Ash Wednesday, it’s hard to believe that it is Lent again. We would like to “Slow Down to the Speed of Joy“, per M. Kelly, to consider our Lenten devotions and preparations and how we might flourish in our relationship with the Lord as we prepare for Easter.
LENT
Readings
James 1: 12-18 – Temptation (Fat Tuesday)
Matthew 6: 1-8, 16-18 – Lenten practices (Ash Wednesday gospel)
Matthew 4: 1-11 – Temptation of Jesus (Sunday gospel)
Sharing Questions
- How can we make this Lent’s preparations better than those of previous Lents, for ourselves and families?
- What new devotions are on your mind for this Lent?
- Are you planning to “give up” anything for Lent?
- How can we overcome distractions to our Lenten preparations? overcome evil?
- As Catholic men should we witness to our Lenten devotions? if so, how?
We also want to be open to wherever the Holy Spirit leads us. Come, and invite a friend!
