Learning from St. Peter, Our Brother in Faith

Brothers,

The Catholic Men’s Fellowship group at [parish] will gather again this coming [day, date], from [start time to end time] in [location]. Please join us and bring a friend!

As we continue our journey throughout the year, this session we will consider our similarities with the person of St. Peter. [Leader name] will facilitate our meeting. He has sent along the readings and thoughts below in preparation for the meeting.

Theme:  Contemplation of Our Personal Similarities with those of St. Peter

Readings

Discussion Questions

  1. How do Peter’s actions, words, and behaviors resemble those you have previously exhibited in your personal relationships?  Have you ever attempted to talk yourself into a greater position or use others to obtain what you want?  Do you ever find yourself criticizing others without first attempting to fix the fault that grieves you? How so?
  2. What benefits do you get from our fellowship meetings?  Are you obtaining what you seek and desire?  Do you truly bring your fair share of contributions, or do you hold back unnecessarily?  What are you willing to do differently, and how do you think others could help or encourage you?
  3. How do you view yourself in the your relationships with family, friends, neighborhood, and church?  If you were to ask, would they agree with your assessment?

We also want to be open to wherever the Holy Spirit leads us.  Come, and invite a friend!

See you there.

God bless,
