During each Lenten season, the liturgies and readings at Mass, as well as our own sacrifices, are intended to bring our focus to Christ’s ultimate sacrifice for us – dying on the cross for our sins. As we recall God’s love and saving action during this time of year, we’re called to respond with GRATITUDE. At this week’s session, we’d like to focus on Living with Gratitude towards God and what that looks like in our own lives. Please join us for what promises to be a rich session that will help your Lenten journey!

Questions to Consider
- Does your level of gratitude measure up to that of the Samaritan – ie, do you make it a priority to thank God for your blessings? If not, why not?
- How does your gratitude to God lead to a more loving encounter with others, and how can you grow in that area?
- How can we maintain an “attitude of gratitude” in today’s challenging times?

Additionally, we’d like to share and touch on an article – “Growing in Gratitude: Six Simple Ways to Give Thanks” from the November, 2020 issue of Word Among Us magazine. Those six suggestions are as follows:
- Begin your prayer each day with praise and thanksgiving.
- Pray the Psalms regularly.
- Spend a few minutes each evening thanking God for your blessings that day.
- Look for God’s blessings, especially amid the difficulties of life.
- Express your gratitude to other people.
- Thank God ahead of time.
