This coming [date] marks our next gathering of our Catholic Men’s Fellowship … we’ll be in the [location] from [start time] to [end time]and we encourage you to invite a friend to attend with you.
Brothers [leaders’ names] will be leading this week’s meeting. They will be offering reflections from Randy Hain’s book Journey to Heaven. The author bills the book as a “road map” for Catholic men.
Most of us would agree that our priorities should be: 1. Christ 2. Family 3. Work. Living this order on a daily basis, however, can be very challenging. With all of the busy-ness in our lives, how do we find time to put God first? Joining your brothers in Christ at our meeting is a great place to start.
Readings
Please take a moment to reflect on these Scriptures before [day]:
Luke 10: 38-42 – The need for only one thing…
Luke 16: 13 – Nobody can serve two masters…
Matthew 6: 31-34 – Seek first the Kingdom of God…
Matthew 6: 19-21 – Where is your treasure…
Questions
Our discussion will center on the following questions:
- Do I struggle in areas of knowing what is important?
- Do I have regrets or guilt because areas of my life are not receiving enough time or attention?
- Describe your prayer life.
- Have I built a life that is requiring too much of me to support and maintain?
- What am I prepared to do differently?
Challenge
Knowing Christ is first, are you willing to commit to doing something different? Ask a fellow in your group to keep you accountable and ask you how you are doing with your commitment next meeting.
We look forward to seeing you all this coming [day/date], from [start time to end time]. in the [location].
God bless all … Fellowship Lead Team
